What a great way to start the holiday season! Wednesday, we attended a luncheon to benefit all the wonderful work that Grandma’s Place does for children and families. It was great to see how many people took the time out of their day to support this organization and the people that work tirelessly to nurture, love and help abused and neglected children. It is very sad we need places like this but wonderful that they have a safe, caring place to go.
We finished off the week with the 2018 HOPE for the Holidays Gala at Bahia Mar. Hope South Florida (HSF) is on a mission to end homelessness in Broward County. The proceeds benefit homeless families and Veterans in Broward County. In 2017 HSF provided 80,000 meals, over 700 mobile showers, 209 families with safe affordable housing (rapid re-housing), 150 families with emergency overnight housing and 24 active support teams for families. What a great idea…a trailer with mobile showers!
It was a great reminder to all of us who have so much, to offer a little help to those in need. Both non-profit organizations participate in the Amazon Smile program. A percentage of every purchase is allocated to your chosen charity.
All of us at Cypress Insurance Group wish You and Your Family a Happy, Healthy Holiday Season and a Wonderful New Year!
